Norwood-Hamilton Scale, Type 1 & 2

Norwood-Hamilton Type 1 & 2
A useful reference tool created to classify the different ways in which baldness typically progresses in men is the Norwood-Hamilton Scale. It divides the typical pattern of male hair loss into seven categories. A full head of hair without any hair loss is termed "Type 1" and does not appear on the chart. Minor recession at the front of the hairline is termed "Type 2."
