I'm probably the last person in the world to learn about beauty blog Whoorl.com and their fun Hair Thursday feature. Even so, I still feel obligated to let you know about it.

Whoorl and Hair Thursday are the creation of blogger Sarah James (profiled recently in this New York Times piece). A while back, James put her decision to get bangs to a vote at the blog, and had so many votes, a new feature, "Hair Thursday" was born. Now, readers send in "before" photos of how their hair looks now, while their fellow readers vote on a recommended new and improved hairstyle. It's actually a great idea, and from looking at some of the "after" photos, it looks like the voters have pretty decent taste!

If you're suffering from hair loss, and looking for a new do, Hair Thursday might be a source of great ideas. The Times also listed four other helpful sites to check out that might help you decide on a new hairstyle:
